Crab Carnival 2018



It’s back & better than ever, our 5th Annual Crab Carnival for four weeks only Monday 19th March till Sunday 15th April, 2019. Chef Sean Connolly and the team at The Morrison invite you to indulge in a month long crab-tastic feast. Did you really eat crab if you didn’t get it all over you?!

It is a messy affair with a hand’s on experience never far away. Dive in with our signature whole mud crab served perfectly with coriander & Sean’s hot sauce. This year Sean’s passion for Italian is alive more than ever with our new entrants the Crab Ravioli & Crab Risotto.

“Ever since I was a young boy I have always really enjoyed eating crab. It has a mysterious romantic feel about them as many people aren’t really sure where or how they live in the deep blue. They have sweet yet salty unctuous tender meat that will melt anybody’s heart.

The highlight dishes for me this year include the Salt & Pepper Alaskan King Crab Legs, their sweet, salty and spice hit blows my mind along with the Crab Po’boys! The Green Goddess dressing is my type of comfort food. One bite of those sandwiches makes everything right in the world.”

Monday & Thursday -Steam Pot Night’s

Whole Blue Swimmer Crab, Alaskan King Crab Legs, Chicken Chorizo Sausage, Corn, Potatoes in an Old Bay Spiced Broth.

$55 for two.

Tuesday- Muddy Maddness

Whole Chilli Mud Crab, Coriander & Sean’s Hot Sauce! One of our signature classics, not to be missed. Come dive in with a hand’s on experience, simple, tasty & messy.

$85 for two.

Wednesday – $1 Oyster Hour

Get your weekly bivalve fix with our famous buck a shuck!


Available in main bar from 6-7pm, we recommend arriving a little earlier to grab a table and cool bevvy ($5 Happy Hour runs daily from 5-7pm) and prepare for the ultimate challenge.


* Served in the main bar area, for walk-ins only. Please prepare for a little bit of a queue, but we promise our oysters are worth the wait! See you there.

Sailors Grave “Down She Gose” – A delicate salty yet thirst quenching German-style brew with a smooth finish and subtle citrus ocean tang to accompany your journey to Davy Jones Locker.


Kereru Salty Seaweed Ale (500ml) – One for the adventurer! A wheat beer brewed from karengo, an edible purple seaweed infused with salt water. Rich, tart & curiously stranger, with a luscious finish just how Captain Cook liked it.


The Manly Lady – The White Lady with a Morrison twist! Soft and citrusy pops from brewed leaves of the lemon myrtle tree make it a perfect crab pairing enhanced by hints of sea botanicals found in Manly gin. Delish!


Crab Rose Sangria – 1L Carafe (for 2) – The perfect tipple to share with friend. Crazy Tropez Rose, Lillet Rose, Oranges, Red Grapefruit & Pomegranate Pearls.
